Siyaphambili Sheetmetal and Fabrication Works (Siyaphambili) was initially birthed in response to local demand for steel manufacturing and fabrication products. The founder Shamiel Friday, has an extensive background in the steel manufacturing & fabrication industry, with over 20 years of acquired knowledge in both sales and operations. In 2018, Shamiel decided to take the leap and start his own business. His initial clientele was based on relationships and customer loyalty both towards him as an individual and as an outstanding service provider.

This continues to be the winning formula for the exponential growth of the business and since inception, the startup has managed to build a solid reputation amongst local and national clients like Tiger Brands, National Salt (formerly Cerebos) and GBD Engineering, which is based in Port Elizabeth. Although the secondary steel sector remains a highly competitive economic space to penetrate, Siyaphambili has proven itself in this regard and continues to gain momentum, as a serious sustainable BBBEE contender in the industry.
